Todd Grindal from Harvard’s Center on the Developing Child spoke last spring about the effects of toxic stress in childhood on early brain development and the important role of stable, positive relationships with adults in a child’s life. This fact sheet from Too Small to Fail, an early childhood initiative of the Clinton Foundation, explores the impact of childhood instability. Several of the programs at The Family Place help families establish and maintain stability through life’s challenges and stresses. We know the importance of the early years and believe that all children are indeed Too Small to Fail.
