The Family Place will be celebrating the Week of the Young Child (WOYC) again this year!
We invite our community to join us in our Celebration, April 6-12, 2024!
An annual celebration by The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the week highlights the needs of young children and recognizes the early care providers, educators, and caregivers who meet those needs.
Did you know?
A child’s brain grows more between the ages of birth and 3 years old than it does across their entire lifespan? Eighty percent of brain growth and development happens in those years!
Saturday is Launch Day! (April 6th, 2024)
Come join us at the “Launch” celebration inside the Lebanon Upper Valley Senior Center (NEW LOCATION!), organized by Vital Communities! There will be music, books, bubbles, crafts, and more!

Tasty Tuesday (April 9, 2024)
The Family Place is kicking off Tasty Tuesday with a Children’s Nutrition Workshop at 10am here at The Family Place: We will be hosting our in-house, Child and Family Nutritionist, Anya Gendal! Children will assist in making nutrient rich and tasty smoothies. Caregivers will learn tips for preventing picky eating and encouraging eating a wider variety of foods at mealtimes. Work Together Wednesday (April 10, 2024)
REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED. We look forward to seeing all who registered on April 10th, 10 – 11am, at the Family Place, in Norwich, VT.!!
We are excited to have Cedar Circle Farm & Education Center join us at The Family Place from 10-11am to celebrate Spring and the WOYC with us! Click on the link for more information and to register. Cedar Circle Farm and Education Center will be helping blend a craft with “Little Farmer” skills to make your very own mini-planters to bring home and care for. Please register by clicking the link.
Artsy Thursday (April 11, 2024)
Join us in creating some beautiful art with your children today! Check back for craft ideas and activities to do together as a family: Make a flower wreath with cupcake liners, turn a simple frame into a piece of art with items found in nature, make a pinecone bird feeder and paint some stones – all while making memories!
Family Friday (April 12, 2024)
We are excited to collaborate with Montshire Museum of Science and Hypertherm to offer some fun STEM activities for families to experience the joy of science together. We will have our exhibit set up in one of the classrooms at the Montshire from 10-11:30am.
