Earlier this week, staff members at The Family Place took a break from the work of social services and focused their energies on themselves. We love our jobs, but it’s always healthy to take time out of your busy schedule to take care of yourself. The theme of this year’s Staff Retreat? One Healthy Bunch!
Against the pristine, albeit slightly chilly setting of Storr’s Pond in Hanover, 34 staff members gathered together for yoga, mediation, a group art project, a healthy, delicious lunch and a rousing rendition of Project Runway. We also honored certain staff members with well-deserved recognition and marveled together at how much The Family Place has grown and improved over its 27 year lifespan.
We laughed, we danced, and we laughed some more. And we came away with a renewed sense of vigor and purpose. The work we do is important, and the support we provide each other is vital. We are lucky to be surrounded by such a talented group of people.
