One of the mainstays of our annual Gingerbread Festival is the Silent Auction, where visitors can bid on items like a child’s bike from Omer & Bob’s shop, a signed baseball from the Boston Red Sox, a signed print from author Tomi dePaola, a puzzle from Stave Puzzles, and many, many more.
Also up for bid are gift baskets donated by The Family Place board members, staff, and local businesses. Each basket has a theme, like Parents’ Night Out, Treats from the Spice Bazaar in Istanbul, Let’s Play Dress Up, or Wines of the Month, and each basket is stuffed full with delight. Our friend and wedding designer extraordinaire, Lynda Dandeneau, wraps the baskets into amazing displays that make the perfect gift for a friend, family member, teacher, or one’s own self.
