All across the nation this August towns and cities will celebrate National Night Out, a fun night of family activities meant to promote police/community partnerships and strengthen ties within neighborhoods.
Chester, Vermont will host its own National Night Out on August 14, 5-8 p.m. at The Pinnacle at Lover’s Lane. A booth featuring The Family Place, Springfield Area Parent Child Center, and Windsor County SIU will be there with information on Child Advocacy Centers.
Child Advocacy Centers focus on helping child victims of sexual crimes. Therapists, law enforcers, and case managers work to help victims access the care they and their families need during a traumatic time.
Stop by and say hello to the staff who make Child Advocacy Centers as positive an experience as possible. And then enjoy face painting, a bouncy house, a dunk tank, plenty of food and a family movie!
