On Friday, November 18th at 8am, The Family Place will welcome local legislators from the northern Windsor region to “Quality Child Care: Why does it matter and what is our role?”. This event is intended to raise awareness among local leaders on the importance of quality early child care and education. Legislators will have an opportunity to tour our 4-star child care center, hear from constituents, and learn about the vital link between the quality of early child care and children’s future development.
The event is part of the Kids Are Priority One Coalition’s Campaign 180.
The Child Care Center at The Family Place
The goal of the campaign is to connect all 180 Vermont legislators with constituents around the critical issue of quality early child care and education. As part of the Hartford Regional Building Bright Futures Council, The Family Place is hosting this event at our on-site child care center. We look forward to welcoming our local legislators and discussing the important issue of quality early child care with them. We will also use the opportunity to introduce them to the comprehensive, family-centered education and services that Parent Child Centers provide to families in the community.
