About the Keynote Speaker, Tim Briglin: Tim Briglin is in his second term as a Representative to the Vermont Legislature. After graduating from Cornell and Stanford School of Business, Tim began a career in finance and investing, where, after working with several national firms, he began his own company, Tuckerman Capital, here in the Upper Valley. His first stint in politics was as a legislative assistant with Senator Patrick Leahy in economic, tax and banking issues. Tim is a founding board member of Vermont Parks Forever, a member of Vital Communities Corporate Council, and a director of Mascoma Savings Bank. In 2013, he was appointed by Governor Shumlin to serve on the Vermont Economic Progress Council, and a year later was elected to the legislature to represent four Upper Valley towns. Tim lives at the top of a hill in Thetford with his wife, Laurel Mackin, a member of The Family Place’s Board, and their two sons, Tucker and Mack.
