Child Advocacy Centers and Special Investigation Unit






Special Investigation Units are mandated by the State of Vermont to provide a multi-disciplinary response to all reports of child and adult sexual assault and abuse as well as reports of serious physical injury to a child, including child fatalities.

The Child Advocacy Center services include interviews, case management, therapy, coordinating medical exams, and information and referral to other programs, services, and agencies when appropriate. Services are offered at our Child Advocacy Centers in White River Junction, VT and in North Springfield, VT; each center is accredited members of the National Children’s Alliance.

Windsor County has two advocacy centers located in White River Junction and N. Springfield to conduct child and adult interviews. Both centers include a safe, quiet, and friendly family room and private interview room.
