Process-based art for toddlers and their caregivers

Wednesday, May 21st from 10:30-11 at The Family Place!
Join us for a joyful, hands-on creative session where toddlers can explore the wonderful world of process art! In our art-based playgroup, little artists are free to squish, smear, dab, and decorate using a variety of fun materials like paints, brushes, paper, natural items, and plenty of colorful sticky things!
This session is all about exploration over perfection—no pressure, no “right” way to do it—just open-ended, sensory-rich play that encourages creativity, fine motor skills, and self-expression.

ABOUT THE CLASS:
Finnie, Outreach Coordinator from Artistree, will be coming to The Family Place to facilitate a delightful and engaging art class designed for toddlers and their caregivers! FREE!
In this nurturing environment, we’ll focus on the joy of creativity and the exploration of various art materials, placing emphasis on the process of making art rather than the final product.
Each session, we will dive into a new medium – whether it’s paint, clay, or collage – inviting young artists to express themselves freely and discover the endless possibilities of creativity.
Through hands-on activities, children will develop their fine motor skills and self-expression while parents will have the opportunity to bond with their little ones, encouraging exploration and imaginative play. Come experience the magic of artmaking, where every splash of paint and every squish of class is a celebration of creativity!
Perfect for children ages 2-4, this class will inspire a lifelong love for art in a fun and supportive atmosphere. Let’s make some messy memories together!
