Our second annual Cooking Competition took place last week!
A major component of our Families Learning Together program is our kitchen site, where young parents learn to budget for groceries, shop for groceries and prepare healthy meals for themselves and their families. Participants of the program make a healthy meal each day that staff and visitors enjoy for lunch.

As part of the Families Learning Together curriculum here at The Family Place, we've started a Physical Education class to teach participants the importance of staying fit and healthy.
A few recent outings have been to play miniature golf and bowling, and a badminton net has taken up seasonal residence on the lawn at the Olcott Building. It's not unusual to find a heated game going on between classes...
